To celebrate the debut of Assemblage 6 by Japan’s iconic sake house “IWA,” Japanese restaurant Genjyu presents an exclusive Omakase sushi experience designed to complement the nuanced complexity of this rare sake.

On this special evening, we are honored to welcome Charles Antoine Picard—President of IWA and former Chief Winemaker of Dom Pérignon for 28 years—whose vision bridges the worlds of Champagne and sake. The pairing of Dom Pérignon and IWA will elevate your dining experience to unprecedented heights, as the delicate textures and flavors of sushi harmonize with the refined effervescence of Dom Pérignon. Indulge in this one-night-only celebration of culinary artistry and luxury.

On Setsubun, the day before the beginning of spring, it is a cherished tradition to enjoy Ehomaki while facing the year’s lucky direction, wishing for good health and prosperity.

At Genju, we present an exclusive Ehomaki crafted with the finest ingredients from Kyushu: a delicate omelet made with minced local shiba shrimp, grilled conger eel from Munakata in Fukuoka, and premium kuruma shrimp from the Goto Islands in Nagasaki. Seven exquisite fillings, inspired by the Seven Lucky Gods, are rolled into this special creation. In addition to Ehomaki prepared by our chef, guests may also enjoy a hands-on experience, rolling their own using Genju's selected ingredients. Your handmade Ehomaki can be taken home as a delightful keepsake. (Open to guests aged 7 and above.) Celebrate Setsubun and welcome happiness for the year ahead with this unique culinary tradition.

Experience the Art of "Hakata Magemono" at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka

Discover the elegance of Fukuoka’s traditional craftsmanship with an exclusive workshop dedicated to Hakata Magemono, a technique designated as an Intangible Cultural Property of Fukuoka Prefecture. Under the guidance of master artisan Tamaki Shibata, the only certified craftsman of Hakata magemono in Fukuoka,

guests will create their own bespoke wooden bento box.

Once completed, indulge in a specially curated bento prepared by the culinary team of Genjyu, featuring locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Choose from three exquisite styles—Kaiseki, Sushi, or Teppanyaki—highlighting Kyushu's finest black wagyu, fresh seafood, and vibrant vegetables. Your meal will be served in the serene ambiance of Genjyu or, for staying guests, in the privacy of your room, accompanied by premium Yame tea, one of Japan's most celebrated green teas.

As a keepsake, take home your handcrafted bento box, elegantly wrapped in a Hakata-ori furoshiki by Nishimura Orimono, along with artisanal chopsticks from Inoue Rantai Lacquerware.
