This summer invites a moment of discovery—an exceptional sake, at its most expressive. Embark on a seasonal journey of taste, guided by a carefully selected collection of premium sake. At our Japanese restaurant, we are pleased to present a special showcase of Yamano Kotobuki, a distinguished brewery from Kurume, Fukuoka. With over 200 years of history, each bottle is crafted using the pristine underground waters of the Chikugo River, quietly reflecting both the richness of the land and the dedication of its makers.
Elegant and delicately balanced, with a gentle umami character, Yamano Kotobuki pairs seamlessly across the spectrum of our cuisine—from the refined precision of kaiseki and the freshness of sushi to the depth and warmth of teppanyaki—enhancing each dish with understated harmony. Midsummer has long been regarded as a time to restore balance to both body and spirit—when dining becomes an act of comfort as much as a celebration. Rooted deeply in Japanese culinary tradition, Doyo no Ushi no Hi is a cherished occasion
dedicated to replenishment and renewal. In honor of this seasonal ritual, Genjyu presents a limited-time kaiseki experience, thoughtfully crafted to reflect the nourishing wisdom of summer. Centered on ingredients long cherished for their restorative qualities, each dish is elevated through the refined technique and artistry of our chefs.
With every course, the season's subtle beauty is expressed through the delicate sensibilities of kaiseki, unfolding in layers of depth and quiet elegance. 【Our Third Anniversary Celebration】Sanshō Kyōen at Genjyu
To commemorate the third anniversary of The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka, Japanese restaurant Genjyu presents Sanshō Kyōen—a one-night-only culinary celebration in which the three distinct worlds of kaiseki, sushi, and teppanyaki come together in perfect harmony. Guests will be welcomed in either the kaiseki or teppanyaki section, where the experience begins with an elegant selection of seasonal appetizers, followed by a kaiseki-style clear soup and sashimi course. Grilled and fried dishes that showcase the purity of each ingredient are then served, leading to a palate cleanser. A signature teppanyaki dish follows, before the meal transitions to a sushi course. The evening concludes with a trio of desserts, each inspired by the artistry of kaiseki, sushi, and teppanyaki.

Experience the Art of "Hakata Magemono" at The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka
Discover the elegance of Fukuoka’s traditional craftsmanship with an exclusive workshop dedicated to Hakata Magemono, a technique designated as an Intangible Cultural Property of Fukuoka Prefecture. Under the guidance of master artisan Tamaki Shibata, the only certified craftsman of Hakata magemono in Fukuoka,
guests will create their own bespoke wooden bento box.
Once completed, indulge in a specially curated bento prepared by the culinary team of Genjyu, featuring locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Choose from three exquisite styles—Kaiseki, Sushi, or Teppanyaki—highlighting Kyushu's finest black wagyu, fresh seafood, and vibrant vegetables. Your meal will be served in the serene ambiance of Genjyu or, for staying guests, in the privacy of your room, accompanied by premium Yame tea, one of Japan's most celebrated green teas.
As a keepsake, take home your handcrafted bento box, elegantly wrapped in a Hakata-ori furoshiki by Nishimura Orimono, along with artisanal chopsticks from Inoue Rantai Lacquerware.
